I'm planning a trip to the area next week and I've heard amazing things about The Black Buck Cafe, especially their brunch menu. However, I'm completely unsure about the crowd levels. Is it better to go right when they open, or is there a specific time in the afternoon when it's less busy? I want to avoid a huge wait if possible, but I also don't want to miss out on the best coffee. Any local insights on timing would be hugely appreciated!

Definitely go right when they open. The early bird special is amazing, and the crowd hasn't built up yet. You'll get the best coffee without the line.

I found that mid-afternoon, around 2:30 PM, is surprisingly quiet. Most of the brunch crowd has left, but they are still serving great coffee and snacks. It's perfect for a relaxed visit.

Avoid Saturday mornings at all costs. It's chaos. If you must go on a weekend, aim for a weekday lunch, maybe 1:00 PM. It's busy, but manageable, and the vibe is still great.

Short answer: 10 AM. Medium answer: 10 AM is when the local regulars are there, which means the food is fresh and the service is quick. Don't wait until 11:30 AM.

I agree with the 2:30 PM suggestion. Also, if you go early, try asking for a table near the window. It makes the wait feel much shorter, even if the line is long.

You should try going on a Tuesday. Seriously. I went last Tuesday, and it was almost empty. I think the crowd really picks up on Friday and Saturday.

I think the peak time is actually 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM on weekends. If you want to avoid the rush, try going right at opening, but be prepared for a small queue.

Replying to the 2:30 PM suggestion: While it is less busy, the coffee quality drops off a bit after the main brunch rush. If coffee is your priority, you need to be there earlier.

Weekday lunch is my go-to. The menu is still full, but the energy is different, and you can actually sit and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed by other diners.

I heard they sometimes have a special weekday happy hour for coffee and pastries. Check their Instagram the day before you plan to go. That might be your best bet for a low-key visit!

Definitely go early. If you get there at 8:30 AM, you can grab a table, order your coffee, and settle in before the main wave of people even arrives. It's worth the early start.

Don't stress too much about the timing. Just go, enjoy the atmosphere, and be prepared to wait a little. The food is worth it, regardless of the crowd level. Have fun!
