I'm trying to get set up with bet365 for some sports betting, but I'm a bit unsure about the current process for Greek residents. I read some older forum posts, but the payment methods seem outdated, and I'm worried about local banking compatibility. Has anyone successfully deposited funds recently, and if so, which method did you use? Also, I'm curious if the current promotional bonuses are better for new users or if they are constantly changing. Any advice on avoiding common pitfalls would be greatly appreciated.

I used the local bank transfer method and it was super fast. Don't worry about the old posts, it's fine now.

I found the registration process straightforward enough. Just make sure you have your NIK tax ID ready, as they are quite strict with verification for Greek residents. I used a debit card for my first deposit, and it cleared instantly. Regarding bonuses, I think they are constantly rotating, so check the promotions page daily. It's always worth signing up during a specific sports event for a limited-time bonus.

Debit card is best.

Are you sure about the local bank transfer? I heard it can sometimes take 24 hours, especially if the timing is off. I had to call customer support to confirm the exact bank details, which was a bit hassle, but it worked eventually. I recommend checking their official Greek support channels for the most up-to-date info.

Totally agree with the bank transfer caution. I waited three days for my money. Use e-wallets if possible.

For payments, stick to PayPal if you can. It was the most reliable method I've used in Greece. I found the initial welcome bonus decent, but I wouldn't bet my main funds on it. Treat it as bonus money to test the platform, and then use your own cash.

The bonuses are definitely better for new users, hands down. The 'returning player' offers are usually much smaller or require massive wagering requirements. Don't get tempted by the daily small bonuses if you are serious about betting.

I had trouble with the KYC verification. They asked for documents I thought were unnecessary. Be prepared for extra steps.

I think the issue might be with the specific bank I used. My friend deposited successfully using a different Greek bank. Maybe try contacting your bank first to see if they have any restrictions on online gambling transactions.

Short answer: Use a credit card if you have one, but PayPal is the safest bet. It's just easier.

Regarding the pitfalls, never deposit more than you are comfortable losing. And always read the terms and conditions for any bonus. They are notorious for hiding massive wagering requirements that make withdrawal impossible.

Does anyone know if the mobile app is better for placing bets or if the website is more stable? I keep switching between the two and getting mixed results.

The website is fine, but the app is slicker for live betting. I found the live streaming integration really helpful when following games. Overall, the experience is smooth once you get past the initial payment hurdle.
