I've been trying to deposit funds using the mobile app for the last two days, and it keeps failing with a generic error message. I've tried using different payment methods, including my debit card and PayPal, but the issue persists. I'm on the latest version of iOS, and I've cleared my cache and reinstalled the app multiple times, so I'm pretty sure it's not a local device issue. Has anyone else noticed this payment glitch recently, or do you know if William Hill is having any server-side issues with their mobile payment gateway? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had the exact same problem last week. It finally started working after I logged out and cleared my browser cache on my phone's web version, not just the app.

Has anyone checked if William Hill is doing maintenance? I saw a tweet mentioning payment gateway updates, which might be the source of the glitch.

Seriously, this is so frustrating. I'm on Android and it failed with my debit card too. Maybe they need to update their API endpoints. It feels like a backend issue, not a user error.

Try using a different bank's card. Sometimes the issue isn't the app, but the bank's security protocols flagging the transactions.

Replying to the user above: I tried that, and my bank confirmed they aren't blocking anything. It's definitely the William Hill side. Maybe contacting their dedicated support line (not the chat bot) is necessary.

Just use the desktop site. It's clunky, but at least it works reliably for deposits right now. The mobile app seems completely broken until they fix the gateway.

I'm using PayPal and it's been fine for me. Maybe the issue is specific to debit cards linked to certain regions? It's weirdly targeted.

Did you try using Apple Pay directly through the app? Sometimes the integrated payment methods work around the main gateway failure.

I think it's a known server issue. I saw a thread on Twitter mentioning it this morning. Just wait a few hours and try again. They usually patch these things quickly.

Replying to the user who mentioned the desktop site: While the desktop site works, it's a massive hassle. I really need the convenience of the app. Is there any way to bypass the payment gateway failure entirely?

Have you checked if you need to update your operating system? Sometimes app compatibility issues pop up after OS updates, even if the app itself is updated.

I had to call them and get a manual deposit link. It was annoying, but it got the funds in. It seems like the automated payment system is down.

It's definitely a server-side problem. William Hill needs to communicate this clearly to their users instead of just letting us troubleshoot our own phones and caches.
