I've been trying to set up a persistent group chat for my book club using the emarld chat platform, but I keep running into some confusing limitations. Specifically, when we get more than five people, the attachment sharing seems to glitch, and sometimes people can't see the history from previous days. Has anyone figured out a workaround for this, or is there a specific setting I'm missing? I'd really appreciate any tips on making group chats run smoothly for a larger circle of people.

Replying to the previous post: Did you try having everyone use a desktop browser instead of the mobile app? We found that the desktop version handles large attachments and history much better than the mobile interface does. It was a massive improvement for our book club.

I'm having the same issue with history. I think the problem might be related to time zones. If people are logging in from wildly different time zones, the chat history sometimes fails to load correctly. Try setting a consistent time zone for the group chat settings.

I found a workaround! Instead of one giant group chat, we created several smaller, topic-specific chats (e.g., 'Book Discussion,' 'Logistics,' 'Recommendations'). This keeps the history manageable and prevents the attachment glitches because no single chat exceeds the five-person limit. It takes more setup, but it's much smoother.
