I just downloaded the Rizk mobile app and I'm trying to link it to my bank account for payments, but I keep running into an error message. It says 'Authentication Failed' even though I've double-checked all my credentials and used the correct OTP. I tried resetting the password twice, but the issue persists. Has anyone successfully used the mobile payment feature recently? I'm worried I might be doing something wrong with the setup process, or maybe there's a known glitch with the latest update. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Check if your bank has implemented any recent security changes. Sometimes the bank side needs an update before Rizk can connect properly.

I had the exact same issue last month. It turned out the error wasn't with my credentials, but with the phone number associated with my bank account. You might need to verify that on the bank's end first.

Short. Try clearing the app cache.

Did you try using a different device? Sometimes the issue is related to the operating system version or a specific device setting that is blocking the secure connection. Also, make sure your phone's date and time settings are set to automatic.

Seriously, I just used it yesterday for a large payment, and it went through without any problems. Maybe the glitch is localized to your account or region. Have you tried waiting until the next business day?

Reply to user_A: Yes, I think the cache is the culprit. I cleared it and it immediately prompted me to re-verify my details, and this time it accepted the OTP. Thanks for the tip!

Long. I spent an hour troubleshooting this myself. I eventually found out that the Rizk app requires you to use a specific browser (like Chrome) for the initial linking process, not the in-app browser they provide. You have to manually initiate the link through the browser first, and then confirm back in the app. It was incredibly frustrating, but it worked. I hope this helps you bypass the 'Authentication Failed' message!

It's definitely a known glitch. Wait for a patch. 😔

Reply to user_B: I agree with the bank security change theory. I called my bank's customer service, and they confirmed that they implemented a two-factor authentication update last week, which seems to be causing conflicts with older versions of the Rizk API. You might need to wait for the bank to fully integrate the change.

Did you check if you are using the latest version of the Rizk app? Sometimes updates break functionality until a hotfix is released.

I'm having the same problem! I'm using iOS 17 and the latest app version. I tried everything you suggested, including restarting my router and my phone. It still fails. Has anyone found a workaround for the authentication failure?

Try linking via the Rizk website on a desktop computer first, then try linking from the mobile app afterwards. Sometimes the flow needs to be initiated on the larger screen.

Reply to user_C: The desktop method worked for me! I linked it on my laptop, and then when I opened the app, it recognized the connection instantly. It seems the mobile app sometimes fails to pull the necessary session token.
