I've been trying to get into the Virgin Games portal all morning, but I keep getting an error message saying my credentials are wrong. I've reset my password twice already, and I'm sure I'm entering it correctly. Is there a specific browser or VPN setting I need to use to log in successfully? Maybe the login process changed recently and I'm missing a step or two. Has anyone else experienced this issue today? Any advice on how to bypass the login error would be greatly appreciated.

Try clearing your browser cache and cookies completely. Sometimes old data interferes with the login process, even if you've reset your password.

I had this exact issue last week. It turned out the portal was undergoing maintenance and they were forcing a temporary credential reset for all users. Check their official status page before spending too much time troubleshooting.

Short and sweet: Use Chrome. It worked for me when Safari gave me trouble.

Has anyone checked if they require a specific app or if the login process moved to a different domain? I remember seeing a notification about a migration last year, and I'm not sure if it's happened again. It's frustrating when the company doesn't communicate these changes clearly.

Did you try logging in via the mobile app instead of the desktop site? Sometimes the backend authentication systems are separate, and one might be working while the other is glitching.

Maybe the issue isn't the credentials. Could it be related to two-factor authentication? Have you checked your email or SMS for a temporary code that might be required after the password reset?

I think you should contact customer support directly. Don't rely on forum advice for security issues like this. They can verify if your account is locked or flagged for any reason.

Replying to the user above: I agree with the support suggestion. I tried contacting them, and they confirmed that my account was flagged because I attempted too many logins in a short period. It was a temporary lock, not a password issue.

VPNs are usually the culprit. Try disabling it entirely and logging in from your usual home IP address. If that works, you know the VPN is interfering with their authentication servers.

Wait, when you say 'credentials are wrong,' does it give any specific error code? Sometimes those codes point directly to whether the issue is username format, password format, or account status.

I used Firefox and it was flawless. I suspect your browser settings are causing the conflict. Try using a completely different browser that you rarely use.

Replying to the user who suggested clearing cache: Yes, I did that, and it didn't help. I even used Incognito mode. It's definitely not a local browser issue, which is making me think it's an account-side block.

Have you checked your email spam folder? Sometimes the password reset confirmation or the temporary login link gets filtered out by Gmail or other providers.

It might be a system-wide outage. Check Twitter or Reddit for the Virgin Games official account. If multiple people are complaining about the same thing, it's not you, it's them.

I found it. I was using a corporate network which has strict firewalls. I had to switch to my phone's hotspot to bypass the restriction and finally log in. Network restrictions are huge.
