I've been trying to set up my profile and link my existing accounts for a few days now, but I keep getting an authentication error message. It says the connection failed, even though I'm sure my passwords and permissions are correct on both ends. I tried clearing the cache and reinstalling the app, but the issue persists. Has anyone successfully linked multiple services through the app recently? Any tips on what I might be overlooking in the settings would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try linking via the desktop web portal instead of the app? Sometimes the mobile connection is glitchy for OAuth.

I had the exact same issue last month. It turned out it was a temporary server-side outage on Wunderino's end. Waiting 24 hours usually fixes it. Super frustrating, but simple fix.

Check your date and time settings on your phone. Sometimes authentication services fail if the local clock is off by even a minute.

Are you linking accounts from the same IP address? If you've been using a VPN or switching networks frequently, the authentication handshake might be getting confused. Try connecting on your home Wi-Fi only.

Mine worked fine yesterday. Maybe the error message is misleading? Have you checked if the service you are linking has required two-factor authentication enabled? If so, you might need to generate a specific API key or use a dedicated code.

Short answer: Contact support. It's probably an account-specific block.

Replying to the user: I found this helpful! I was overthinking the passwords and forgot that the service requires 'read-only' permissions only. I had to manually adjust the scopes in the settings panel. It was a tiny detail, but it solved everything for me.

Has anyone else noticed this error after the recent update? I updated yesterday, and now every time I try to link anything, it throws the same 'connection failed' error. I've done everything suggested, but nothing works. Is this a known bug?

I agree with the VPN suggestion. I was linking from a coffee shop network, and it failed immediately. Switching to my personal hotspot fixed it instantly. It seems to be network related, not account related.

I'm going to try the desktop method next. Thanks for the tips, everyone. Hopefully, that resolves the authentication headache.

Please confirm which specific services you are trying to link. Sometimes the error isn't Wunderino, but the API connection between Service A and Service B. Knowing that might narrow down the issue significantly.
