I just upgraded my mainboard and installed the new peripheral card, but I keep getting an error code when I try to initialize the AS 682 module. The manual says it should be plug-and-play with this chipset, but the system keeps crashing right after the detection phase. I've already checked all the connections and made sure the drivers are the latest version available from the manufacturer. Has anyone successfully integrated this specific module into a newer generation system? I'm worried I might have bought the wrong revision or that there's a known firmware conflict I'm unaware of.

Long response: I spent weeks on this. My conclusion was that the AS 682 module requires a dedicated secondary power rail that isn't standard on most consumer-grade mainboards. You might need a specialized adapter or a custom power solution to stabilize the detection phase. Don't just rely on the primary slot power.
