I just updated my unit to the latest 32rex firmware, and honestly, it feels unstable. The documentation suggested it would improve battery life and connectivity, but since the update, the device keeps randomly dropping its connection to the main hub. I've tried factory resetting it twice, and I've checked all the physical connections, but the problem persists. Has anyone found a specific workaround or maybe a rollback method to an older, more stable version? I'm really worried about this impacting my daily workflow.

Did you check the hub firmware? Sometimes the hub needs updating too, or it conflicts with the new device firmware.

I had the exact same issue last week. It was definitely the 32rex update. I ended up rolling back to version 4.1.2, and everything stabilized immediately. You should try that.

Short. Try power cycling everything.

I found a temporary fix. If you manually adjust the connection interval settings in the advanced menu (it's hidden under 'Network Optimization'), it seems to prevent the random drops. It's a bit of a hack, but it works for now.

>> @UserX, I think you might be mistaken about the hub. Mine was running the latest firmware, and the issue was purely device-side. I spent hours troubleshooting, and it was just a bad batch of units. Contact support and ask for a replacement unit, even if they say it's not necessary.

Has anyone else noticed that the connection drops only happen when the unit is running high-power peripherals? I'm pretty sure the new firmware increased the power draw, causing brownouts on the connection.

Honestly, I think the documentation is misleading. They said 'improved connectivity,' but it just seems to increase the frequency of required re-pairing. Maybe wait for a patch note update instead of panicking.

I agree with the rollback suggestion. I was using the new firmware and losing connection every hour. Rolling back fixed it, but now I'm worried about missing out on the supposed battery improvements. It's a real dilemma.

Check your antenna placement. Sometimes the update makes the unit more sensitive to environmental interference, especially if you have metal objects or large machinery nearby.

I tried the advanced settings and adjusting the interval, but it didn't help. The drops are still random, and I'm getting error code 704 every time it disconnects. Is anyone else seeing that specific error code?

The only thing that worked for me was updating the OS on the main hub *before* flashing the 32rex firmware. It forces a compatibility handshake that seems to stabilize the connection significantly. It took about 20 minutes total.

I'm going to try factory resetting the hub first, even though I know it's a long shot. Sometimes the hub's internal cache gets corrupted and causes issues with new device profiles. Fingers crossed!
