I went last weekend and honestly, I was surprised by the dining options. The steak dinner was advertised as a great value, but the portion size was tiny and the prices felt really inflated compared to what I paid just driving into the area. I was expecting a more upscale dining experience given the location, but it felt more like a standard casino buffet experience. Has anyone found better places to eat nearby that aren't attached to the resort? I'm trying to save some cash for more gaming.

Totally agree. It's a huge rip-off. You pay for the ambiance, not the actual food quality.

I found a great local pizza place just off the main highway that was much cheaper and honestly tastier. Check out 'The Corner Slice' if you're driving through.

Don't even bother with the casino restaurants. Seriously, pack snacks and eat them in your room. It saves you money and the experience is always underwhelming.

The steak dinner was okay, but the sides were bland. I think the issue isn't just price, but the lack of creativity in the menu. It's all very predictable.

Hey, @User123, have you tried the Italian place in the nearby town center? It's called 'Mama Rosa's.' My partner and I ate there last month and it was fantastic value. Great pasta and portions were generous.

I actually found the buffet decent enough for a quick bite. It's fine if you just need to graze while you're gaming. Don't expect Michelin stars, though.

Reply to @User123: Oh, I haven't heard of Mama Rosa's! Thanks so much for the recommendation. I was worried I'd have to eat at the resort again.

Seriously, just drive 15 minutes north. There's a little farmer's market area with food trucks that are way more authentic and affordable than anything on the property.

It's the same problem everywhere. Tourist traps always inflate prices. You have to research the local spots before you get there, or you'll get burned.

I went last month and found a small deli downtown. Their sandwiches were incredible, and I got a huge lunch for under $20. It was a lifesaver compared to the casino prices.

I agree with the sentiment here. It's disappointing when you're looking forward to a night out and the food drags you down. Maybe next time I'll stick to takeout from a local spot before I even go.
