I'm planning a trip to Edinburgh next month and I've heard good things about the Admiral Casino. Has anyone actually been there in the last few weeks? I'm particularly interested in knowing about the atmosphere and if the slot machines are fair. Also, are there any specific deals or happy hours I should know about before I go? Any advice on parking or the best time to visit would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I went last month. The atmosphere is okay, definitely lively, but it feels a bit dated. The slots seemed standard, nothing revolutionary. Parking is tricky; look for the multi-story car park across the street, it's pricey.

Hey! I'm heading there next week too. I heard they sometimes run a 'two-for-one' deal on certain slot machines on Tuesdays. I'll check local forums closer to the date for confirmation. Good luck!

Honestly, I found the whole experience underwhelming. It was loud, and the machines felt rigged, if you know what I mean. Maybe save your money and just explore the Old Town instead. Much better atmosphere.

Definitely check out the happy hour deals. I found that if you arrive right before dinner time (around 5 pm), they often have drink specials that make the evening much more enjoyable. It's a good way to start without spending too much.

Is it really worth the hype? I spent a whole evening there and left feeling poorer and more stressed than when I arrived. Stick to the pubs, seriously.

Totally agree with the 'underwhelming' comment. Also, the parking situation is a nightmare. I spent 20 minutes circling blocks just trying to find a spot that wasn't already booked or ridiculously expensive. Bring your feet and walk!

Regarding the slots, I think they are fair, but you need to know what you're doing. Don't just throw money at the biggest machine. Look for the ones with the lower betting limits if you're just testing the waters. It's all about strategy.

Oh, I had a completely different experience. I went on a quiet Saturday afternoon, and it was surprisingly relaxed. The staff were really friendly, and I managed to find a good deal on a cocktail. Maybe avoid peak weekend times if you want a calmer vibe.

Replying to the parking issue: I found that if you park in the residential street just two blocks away, you can use the tram service to get right to the entrance. It costs less and saves you the hassle of the central car parks.

I'd recommend going early, maybe right when they open. The energy is different then, and you can get a feel for the place before the big crowds arrive. Also, always check their official website for current promotions; they change fast.

Do you think the atmosphere is affected by the time of day? I went late Friday night and it was pure chaos. If you want to chat with people or just soak up the vibe, mid-afternoon is much better.

Definitely book your tickets online beforehand if you plan on a big night. It saves time at the door and sometimes gives you access to a slightly better rate on entry or special lounge access. Have fun!
