I'm trying to decide where to eat tonight and keep seeing mentions of Restaurant 48. Has anyone actually been there recently? I'm specifically interested in the ambiance and if the pasta dishes are worth the hype. My friend recommended it, but I'm worried it might be overrated. Any detailed feedback on service or if they are busy on weeknights would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

Just went last week. The pasta is amazing, seriously worth the hype. Ambiance is cozy but loud, maybe better for a date night than a quiet chat.

Honestly, I think it's overrated. The service was slow, and the pasta was just average. Too expensive for what you get.

Short answer: Yes, go. The ambiance is fantastic, very upscale Italian feel. Just book a reservation for weeknights, they get slammed.

The Carbonara is a must-try. It's rich and creamy without being heavy. Definitely recommend it if you go.

Totally agree about the crowd. If you go on a Tuesday, you'll have a much better experience than if you go Friday.

I had a terrible experience last month. Our server seemed completely overwhelmed and we waited forever just for bread. Maybe call ahead and ask about their staffing levels?

Medium length response here. We went for a celebration and the ambiance was perfect. It has a lovely, warm lighting and the decor makes it feel special. We ordered the seafood linguine, and it was genuinely excellent, not just 'good.' My only complaint is the bread basket was a little overpriced.

Definitely check out their specials board. The appetizers are surprisingly creative and hit the spot.

I disagree with you. The service was prompt, and the pasta was outstanding. Maybe you went during a peak rush hour? Give them another chance!

It's pricey, but the quality justifies it. We went for a date and it was perfect. Just make sure to dress up a little.

If you are worried about the hype, try the Osso Buco. It's hearty and comforting. It's a solid dish, regardless of the restaurant's overall reputation.

Oh man, I was there last Saturday. It was packed, and yes, the pasta is incredible. But be prepared for a wait, and maybe call them to get a rough ETA on seating.

Don't worry too much about the hype. Just go if you're craving really good Italian food. It's a safe bet.

I found the staff to be friendly and attentive, which was a huge plus for me. They handled a large group very well, even though the restaurant was busy. I highly recommend it for a group outing.

My friend said the same thing! It was lovely, but I think the noise level was a bit much. I prefer a place where you can actually hear yourself talk.

Just go. You won't regret it. The pasta dishes are worth the hype, 10/10.
