I keep seeing posts about the $500 free play offers at some of the Hollywood casinos, but I can't find any reliable details on the fine print. Has anyone actually redeemed this recently? I'm worried about the wagering requirements or if there are specific games it applies to. Also, does this deal require a minimum stay or is it just for a single visit? Any tips on which casino runs the best promotions right now would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help!

I used it last month at the Palms. Be careful though, the wagering requirement was insane. You have to play it through almost entirely on slot machines, which is restrictive.

Short answer: Check the casino's official website promotions page. Don't trust third-party blogs for the fine print. It usually requires a minimum spend first.

It was pretty good, but only if you stick to table games. They made us play blackjack and roulette, but the bonus was voided if we tried to use it on slots. Definitely call ahead and ask for the exact terms before booking.

Does it require a minimum stay? Yes, usually 2 nights minimum. And yes, the bonus often only applies to the casino where you check in. I recommend checking out the Flamingo for their current deals, they seem to have the best package right now.

Seriously? The Palms? I heard the Venetian has a better package deal right now. Maybe check their site for a staycation bundle instead of just the free play.

I think the biggest trap is the clock. The bonus often expires if you don't play it within 7 days of arrival. Make sure you understand the time limit, or you'll lose the whole thing.

Totally agree with the previous user. The fine print is brutal. I spent hours reading the T&Cs and found that if you play a single game that is not listed, the bonus is immediately forfeited. It's a lot of reading.

It was fine. Just a single visit was enough. No minimum stay needed for the $500 credit. Just show your ID and book a room, and they'll apply it at check-in. Super easy.

My experience was mixed. They let me use it on slots, but the payout rate was so low I barely scraped by the wagering requirement. Maybe skip it and just look for a direct cash bonus instead.

To follow up on the minimum stay question: If you book through a third-party site, they often waive the minimum stay requirement, but then the casino might limit the bonus amount. It's a trade-off you have to weigh carefully.
